Just A Breath

One of my favorite pastimes is free diving with manatees, and this is probably my favorite manatee shot I’ve ever taken. I sat calmly just beneath the surface as she slowly approached, showing no signs of stopping. Worried she might bump into me, I began backing up - only for her to gently rise for a breath at the last second, allowing me to capture this incredible moment. Taken at Blue Spring, FL.
