Manta's Hunt

Under the glow of dive lights, this giant reef manta performed endless loops, feasting on the abundance of krill swirling in the water. Just like bugs to a porch light, krill and plankton are drawn to illumination. By using my dive light, I summoned a dense congregation of these microorganisms - creating the perfect feast for a hungry manta. Taken while scuba diving at 35 feet deep in Kona, HI.
